Advertising Disclosure

1. How the club is paid

A cruise planning conversation costs 4,400 yen, a day excursion 11,000 yen per person and a stay arrangement 16,500 yen as a planning fee. For stays, the venue and transport are quoted separately, at the price the venue or operator charges. If a venue or ship line ever pays the club a booking commission, we will say so next to the recommendation and in the written quotation, and the commission will not be added to your price. We also tell you when a cheaper way of doing something exists, including booking directly with the venue, because the planning fee is for our time.

2. Recommendations

When we suggest a ryokan, a ship or a route, the reasons come from your Pace Marker, your walking, your seating and your diet, and from what our hosts have noted about the place. A commercial relationship never decides the order of our suggestions. If we have no first-hand knowledge of a venue, we say that too and describe what we have checked, such as photographs, its published access information and a phone call.

3. Advertisements that point to this site

• Where the club pays for an advertisement that leads to this site, the advertisement is the club's own and describes only services listed on the Our Journeys page at the prices shown there.
• The page you land on is the same page everyone else sees. We do not show one version to advertising reviewers or to search engines and another to visitors.
• We make no promises in advertising that these pages do not make: no health benefit, no guaranteed outcome and no ranking or lowest-price claim.
• The photographs are stock images and are labelled as illustrations in the Terms of Service.

4. Reviews and testimonials

There are no customer reviews, star ratings or testimonials on this site, and the structured data of the pages contains none. The club does not pay for reviews and will not publish a review it cannot show to be genuine and from a real customer who agreed to it. If review excerpts are added later, each will carry the date and the source.

5. Cookies and personalised advertising

Because no advertising or analytics tool is installed, there is currently nothing to personalise. The preference switches in the banner and on the Cookie Policy page only store your choice in your own browser. If the club later adds a measurement or advertising tag, it will respect those stored choices, and we will describe the tag, its purpose and the company behind it here before it starts to work.

6. What would change this page

We keep this page short because there is little to disclose, and we would rather it stayed true than grew long. These are the events that would make us rewrite it before they happen:

• A venue, ship line or transport operator offers the club a commission for bookings we send them.
• The club accepts payment, in money or in kind, for mentioning a place, a product or a company on these pages.
• A measurement, advertising or remarketing tag of any company is added to the site.
• The club starts a partner programme with another travel business or a regional tourism body.

In each case the new arrangement will be named here, with the date it begins, and the page you are reading will say what data, if any, it uses.
