Why we publish this
Japanese law asks a seller who takes orders from consumers at a distance, such as by phone, email or through a website, to state plainly who they are and what the sale involves. For a travel club that mostly talks to people before they decide, we think the rule is a good one, so we have set the information out in ordinary words rather than only in the usual table. If anything here is unclear, phone us and we will go through it with you.
The required information
- Seller
- Pelorix Travel Club
- Person in charge
- The name of the person in charge is disclosed without delay when you ask by phone or email, and is printed on every written quotation.
- Address
- 3-10-8 Honmachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 920-0853, Japan
- Telephone
- +81 76-779-4679 (weekdays 9:30 to 17:30, Japan time; messages left outside these hours are returned on the next working day)
- Website
- pelorix-travel-club.com
- Services sold
- Cruise Planning Conversation; Gentle-Pace Day Excursions; Restful Stay Arrangement (planning and coordination).
- Price
- Cruise Planning Conversation: 4,400 yen per consultation. Day Excursion: 11,000 yen per person. Restful Stay Arrangement: 16,500 yen per stay arrangement (planning fee). The written confirmation states the total including consumption tax.
- Charges besides the price
- For a stay: accommodation, meals not quoted, and train or transfer fares are quoted separately and paid for the venue or operator's service. For an excursion: personal purchases and drinks beyond the set lunch. Bank transfer fees, if any, are paid by the customer.
- Payment method
- Bank transfer or another method written in the confirmation. We do not ask for card details by ordinary email.
- Payment period
- By the date written in the confirmation. For day excursions this is normally before the departure date.
- When the service is provided
- Cruise conversation: on the day agreed by phone or email. Day excursion: on the departure date in the confirmation. Stay arrangement: the plan is delivered in writing by the date agreed, and the stay itself takes place on the dates you chose.
- Cancellation and changes
- Cancellation charges, if any, are those printed in your confirmation and explained before you agree. A cruise conversation can be moved without charge when you tell us in good time. If the club cancels or changes an excursion, we offer another date or a refund of the amount paid for it.
- Returns
- Services are not goods and cannot be returned. If a service was not provided as agreed, tell us within one month and we will put it right or refund the affected part.
- Travel agency registration
- Where an activity needs registration under the Travel Agency Act, the club either holds it or works through a registered travel agency. The registration category, number and authority are written in the confirmation sent before any payment and are read out on request.
- Other conditions
- Please tell us about mobility, dietary and health needs that affect the plan. The club is not a medical provider. Terms are on the Terms and Conditions page.
How a booking goes, step by step
- You ask about a service by phone, email or the message form. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
- We reply with the Pace Marker, what is included, the price and the dates we can offer.
- When you want to go ahead we send a written confirmation with the total price, payment date, cancellation terms and travel-agency details.
- The booking exists once you have agreed to that confirmation and paid as it describes. Until then, nothing is held for you.
- Before the journey you receive the printed plan in large type, and on the day a club host stays with the group.
Prices and tax, in plain words
The figures above are the club's own fees. They are not a total travel price for a stay, because the room, the meals and the fares belong to the venue and the transport operator and change with the season and your dates. For that reason a stay is always quoted twice: our planning fee, and the venue's and operators' charges. You see both before you agree to anything, and you can compare them with what the venue itself publishes.
Health and safety
The club arranges travel and leisure. It is not a medical or care provider, gives no medical advice and promises no health result. Health-related programs at a hot-spring or resort venue are run by that venue's own qualified staff. Pace Markers describe the walking we plan and are not a guarantee of safety for any one person. Please ask your own doctor if you are unsure whether a journey suits you.
